Sad news ..
I just found out that Herman Leonard, my principal influence in Jazz photography has died (http://www.nola.com/entertainment/index.ssf/2010/08/herman_leonard_photgrapher_of.html)
I hope to meet him one of these days and take some shots with him on the paradise to Abbey Lincoln, Miles Davis, Charlie Parker, Art Pepper, Dizzy Gillespie, Billie Holiday ..
He was old but still active .. as you can see on the last video on January of 2010 he worked with Lenny Kravitz for his new album
He was THE Eye of Jazz.
So long Herman and thanks for your Artwork, I never had the luck to meet you but I heard so many time that you were a great human being

voilà un grand qui est parti rejoindre toutes ces légendes qu'il a immortalisées au travers de superbes photographies....
lui aussi m'a donné l'envie de la photo de concert, l'envie de l'ouvrage bien pensé et soigné..
quand je suis en panne d'idées, je retourne dans son livre et (ré) apprend la photographie tout simplement.
Maravilloso tributo para Herman Leonard, y su excepcional obra....
