Homenaje sentido para, Charlie...
Sonido inolvidable, maravilloso, emotivo...
Charlie was one of my teachers at Berklee College of Music around 1960. He was a terrific, no nonsense teacher and player. I heard him play with Herb Pomeroy quartet on several occasions. Charlie has left us with alot of great alto sounds. We will miss him but honor his talent by listening to all that he has left us. R.I.P. Charlie. Your family has to be so proud of the legacy that you have left them.
Frank B.
Thanks for your comment and your testimony Frank B.
Charlie was a passionate father of 6, loving husband to my mother for 15 years, a phenomenal teacher, player and friend to many....his wife, Dorothee, accented his life with art, sweetness and love. We will all miss him greatly.
I call Charlie Dad....I am very proud of the legacy he has left through my son who also plays saxophone at the age of 11. Father, husband, teacher, musician...full of passion in everything he touched. He is greatly missed.
Fantastic testimony Mel, thank you. We will never forget Charlie Mariano
Hola Esther,

As a kid growing up in the Appalachians, the first jazz album I bought was one I'd heard on the college radio station: an Eberhard Weber album, "Silent Feet," with Charlie Mariano on sax. I've found many more albums with Charlie Mariano since, and enjoyed them all. Good to know the man will live on in his music.
Dear Brian,
Thanks for your testimony.
Yes, thanks to the recordings, the music of Charlie will fortunately be always among us
Keep swingin'
